DEVILISH

 

This tutorial is for those that have a working knowledge of Psp.

Supplies needed:

Tube of choice. I’m using the awesome art of Scott Blair. You have to purchase a license to use his work here
Doodles from Jo luvs dogs’s scrap blog here
Ribbons by Melissa of Sentimental Style (cannot supply - she doesn’t allow her stuff to be shared)
"Devilish" wordart by Queen Brat Designs - download from her site here
Template made by me - do not use in another tutorials, thanks!
Plugin: Eye Candy 5 - Nature - Fire (optional)
Font of choice. I used Riven

 Supplies here


Open a blank canvas 600x600. floodfill white.

Open my template.

Copy and paste as a new layer the masked layer. Colourize to match your tube.

Copy and paste the diamond circle as a new layer. Dropshadow.
Copy and paste the black frame as a new layer. With your magic wand, select inside the frame. Selections, modify, expand by 5. Add a new layer under the frame and floodfill with the above gradient.

While still selected, copy and paste the flower as a new layer. Colourize to match your tube and change the blend mode to Luminance (L). Lower the opacity to about 70. Keep selected.
Copy and paste as a new layer the wordart and change the blend mode to overlay.
Selections, invert, delete on flower layer and on wordart layer. Select none.

Highlight the floodfilled layer, go to effects, texture effects, blinds. Settings: 2, 20, color black, horizontal and light from left/top both checked.
Dropshadow the frame.

Copy and paste your doodle as a new layer over the masked layer. Position, duplicate, mirror, flip. Dropshadow both layers. 

Highlight your top layer. Copy and paste your tube as a new layer. Position and dropshadow.
Copy and paste the ribbons. Position and dropshadow.

Add your name, copyright info, crop, merge flatten and save as png (if you don’t animate).


ANIMATION

Highlight the floodfilled layer. Go to effects, plugins, Eye Candy 5, Fire. Under settings, select small, cooling charcoal - default settings.

Copy merged, go to AS and paste as a new animation.

Go back to PSP, press the undo button and apply fire again. Same settings, only press the random button under basics.

Go to AS, paste after curren frame and go back to PSP. Repeat the above step two times again.

 In AS save as gif.

Done!
